A Brockton man was arrested after police caught him with nearly 400 grams of Fentanyl and $51,000 in cash, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz and Massachusetts State Police Col. Kerry Gilpin announced Wednesday, June 6, 2018. (MGN)

Authorities said Emmanuel Flores Ramos is facing multiple charges, including trafficking of a Class A substance and resisting arrest.

“Ramos allegedly travelled on foot to and from his residence to complete narcotics transactions, and used the address in Brockton to store large amounts of narcotics for distribution,” according to authorities, adding that they found 377.5 grams of suspected Fentanyl, $51,323 in cash, along with several cell phones, digital scales and packaging materials.

The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Commonwealth Interstate Narcotics Reduction Enforcement Team, CINRET, which is a newly-created State Police Unit “aimed at identifying, investigating and arresting violent opiate traffickers has arrested a suspected Fentanyl trafficker in Brockton.”

Police said the drugs were seized and transported to the State Police Crime Lab, where they will be tested for analysis as part of an ongoing investigation.

Flores Ramos is scheduled to be arraigned in Brockton District Court on Thursday.
