I hope you are all doing well and you’re enjoying the holiday season. I wanted to let you know that I am running for re-election for Plymouth County District Attorney in the November 3rd, 2026 election. Serving as District Attorney these past 24 years has been the greatest honor of my life. As the top law enforcement official and prosecutor in Plymouth County, my highest priority is protecting the safety of you and your family.
At the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, my staff and I aggressively prosecute crime. Every day we work closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to take guns, drugs, violent felons, and sex offenders off the streets and out of our neighborhoods. We do not have a “Non-Prosecute List” of crimes we won’t go after. We do not bargain with criminal defendants, and we work to make sure the punishment fits the crime.
But make no mistake about it – common sense prosecutors across America are under attack for doing their jobs. Outside groups with unprecedented amounts of funding are targeting me and this office. Often, their agendas lack knowledge or facts about our county, state, or criminal justice system.
I am very proud of the work my office does every day to keep people safe. Our office has partnered with various agencies to initiate programs that address social, economic and health challenges facing our communities. These initiatives have received praise from across the political spectrum and country. They range from our Drug Intervention Program and Plymouth County Comfort Dog Program that is having a direct impact in our schools and communities, to services for victims of child abuse through our Children’s Advocacy Center and our Handle With Care Program. We have also launched our Organized Retail Crime Task Force with resources dedicated to investigating and prosecuting major retail theft from gangs that hurt consumers and businesses in Plymouth County. Our Community Court Program, which began in September, is the first of its kind in Massachusetts where chronic homelessness is being addressed by providing programs and services to those homeless populations in Plymouth County.
The work to keep us safe remains. Outside groups are working aggressively to find an opponent with progressive ideologues that would reverse what we have accomplished and put criminal defendants before victims. This is an immediate threat to safety in Plymouth County.
To ensure that I have the funds to mount a strong and rigorous campaign next year, I hope you will consider a donation of $50, $100, $250, $500 or $1000 to my committee today. A donation link is here for your convenience https://www.datimcruz.com/donate.
Your continued support and consideration is deeply appreciated.
I hope to see you as I travel throughout Plymouth County.
Thank You!
